Some complained of hardware issues and missing hoses but this was far from the case in my experience. I expected to get only the pump but instead received (in two days from ordering BTW) the pump, two hoses, 1 filter, and two shut-off plunger/pool mount inlet-outlet. Basically the entire kit to fully replace and upgrade my 12' dia pools filter system. One thing to mention is that the included inlet-outlet valves were way to big to fit my existing small holes but I did not want to use the smaller holes with an enlarger adapter, plus i really liked the plunger shut off valves for ease of replacing the filter. Most pools though have a large circular reinforcement piece incorporated in the pool right at the inlet-outlet areas. I just cut that out to the dia required for the new valves and, viola, like a charm. I would make sure that you do in fact have this... (I won't even go into how the liner split after only 3 weeks, and the ridiculous 4 month warranty/back-ordered from China BS we went through that COMPLETELY ruined one of the hottest recorded summer's in the state!) They come with a pump that, well, just sucks. (excuse the pun)So, new year, and a new warrenty'd pool liner, it's all up and filled in June. After a couple of weeks of not wanting to put my head underwater due to the murky water, I looked up the specs on the supplied pump. I mean, I could cup my hand over the intake and not feel any suction...at all. And the water return was so weak, it couldn't even start a mini whirlpool. The pump moved a measly 730-something g/hr. THe filter that came with my $99 WalMart pool was about what you would expect. Hooked this thing up and had to modify the inlet-outlet to accept the new fittings. Now the pool is clean and this filter is great. Size of the pool is 36" deep by 12 feet round. You can add the chlorine tabs into the bottom of the filter chamber. Has a working timer that you can set and forget. The timer turns on for 2/4/6/8 hours daily and actually does what it is supposed to.Only a 4 star because I would like a little more flow from the size of the pump. If you are a fellow ghetto pool owner, upgrade to this filter. It made a huge difference. |
